Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION The Golf Outside Service Attendant is responsible for starting, marshaling and general maintenance of outside golf operation. Thorough understanding of the golf game and design is a must. Responsible for care and general maintenance of golf cart fleet.

This position is a variable hour position; dates and hours of employment are subject to seasonal golf course operations requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead by example. Start golfers on the golf course.

Prioritize time between multiple job responsibilities. Provides customer's assistance on and off the course. Maintain a clean and professional outside environment.

Assists with tournament operations as directed by golf course supervisory staff. Follow golf course and City policies as directed by golf course supervisory staff. Service Golf Cars, Driving Range, Tee boxes and Greens.

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance of ALL of Valleywood's property, including but not limited to; golf course, parking lot and buildings. Actively promotes a professional and guest service oriented atmosphere among all golf course employees. Lead by example.

Assist Pro Shop Attendants in all facets of golf course operations. Assist with any necessary tasks, including but not limited to, stocking bar, cleaning bathrooms and clubhouse, patio upkeep, etc. Assists with setup, execution and tear down of any or all events as directed by Golf Clubhouse Coordinator.

Perform other duties as assigned by the City. QUALIFICATIONS 16 years of age or older. Ability to provide excellent guest relations and positively promote and represent the golf course and the City of Apple Valley.

Energetic, Self motivated and Proactive. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, grip, stand for long periods and lift/move up to 50lbs. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience in a service related field.

Prefer 2 - 3 years of experience in maintenance or guest service background. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a variable hour position. You may be scheduled days, evenings, weekends and some holidays.

Anytime between 5:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week (flexible hours). Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation
