Vineyards Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Second Assistant Supervisor to join our Golf Course Grounds team. This hands-on leadership position assists in the daily maintenance and presentation of our championship golf courses while helping to supervise and develop grounds staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about turf management, takes pride in producing exceptional playing conditions, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Supervisor, the Second Assistant Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the golf courses, practice facilities, and surrounding grounds consistently meet the high standards expected by our members and guests.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily supervision and direction of golf course grounds staff.
  • Help coordinate and monitor mowing, course setup, landscaping, irrigation, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in training employees on proper procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Monitor course conditions and communicate maintenance needs to management.
  • Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Ensure golf courses, practice areas, and clubhouse grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Operate and maintain turf equipment as needed.
  • Help manage daily work assignments and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on quality and member satisfaction.
  • Serve as a leadership resource in the absence of the Assistant Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Previous golf course, landscape, grounds maintenance, or turf management experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, irrigation systems, and turfgrass care preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to lead by example.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Schedule:
  • Full-time position.
  • Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours as needed.
