Description

Maintains Golf Course and Landscaping around the Golf Course, Clubhouse, and other Club facilities, including parking lots.

 

Essential Job Functions:

         Trims and feeds shrubs and trees; removes cuttings.

         Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds.

         Rakes and blows leaves.

         Mows greens and fairways by operating walk-behind turf equipment.

         All job functions of Equipment Operator 1

         Ability to operate machinery: triplex, fairway mower, rough mower, Sandpro and turbine blower;

         Ability to execute hand watering and fertilization (excluding greens);

         Basic knowledge of golf course setup

         Prepares soil plant beds and establishes plantings by seed or transplants.

         Maintains annual and perennial flowers in aesthetic arrangements.

         Rakes bunkers.

         Loads and unloads materials.

         Digs holes and trenches to maintain or construct irrigation and drainage lines.

         Installs pipe and backfills excavations.

         Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.

Requirements

Licenses & Special Requirements:

Valid driver's license.

Six months of experience in golf course grounds maintenance or greenkeeping

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and occasional overtime

Hardworking, motivated person with positive attitude

Must be responsible and reliable

Understands and adheres to all directives within the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club Operating and Lake Nona Personnel Handbook

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Able to work in strenuous weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, rain and cold.

This position includes (long periods of) climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to navigate through rough and uneven terrain

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions

Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above
