Job description

At Colonial Heritage Club, our course is more than turf—it's an experience. We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker who takes pride in creating pristine playing conditions and beautiful outdoor spaces. If you love working with nature, enjoy hands-on teamwork, and want to help maintain one of the region’s premier golf environments, this is your opportunity.

Compensation and Benefits: $15.00 - $18.00/hr. Full-Time Team Members receive benefits including health, dental, vision, and life, 401(k), STD, LTD, paid holiday, vacation, personal & sick time, lean management training, and numerous other employee discount benefits through our HR provider LL Roberts.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Golf Course Maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our grounds healthy, safe, and visually stunning. Your work will directly impact member satisfaction and the overall guest experience.

You will:

  • Maintain golf course turf, bunkers, greens, and landscaping to high playability standards
  • Operate and maintain mowers, tractors, and course equipment
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor course conditions, identify issues, and recommend solutions
  • Assist in irrigation management, repairs, and seasonal adjustments
  • Support daily course setup and project-based improvements
  • Work closely with leadership to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment
  • Follow all safety procedures while reporting hazards and supporting a safety-first culture

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in golf course maintenance or turf management
  • High School Diploma required; 2-year Agronomy Degree preferred
  • Advanced understanding of turf care, equipment operation, and regulatory compliance
  • State pesticide application certification (or willingness to obtain/maintain—required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to professionalism, respect, and quality service

Environment:

This role is hands-on, active, and outdoors. You can expect:

  • Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and equipment operation
  • Frequent work in heat, cold, rain, and varying outdoor conditions
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to biological materials
  • Evening and weekend shifts, especially during peak seasons

Why Join Us?:

At Colonial Heritage Club, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values craftsmanship, quality, and pride in maintaining a top-tier golf environment. Your work will be seen—and appreciated—every single day.

If you’re ready to grow your career in golf course groundskeeping and contribute to a beautiful, thriving facility, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape the landscape of Colonial Heritage Club.
