Custom Golf Club Fitter

A Custom Golf Club Fitter helps golfers improve their performance by analyzing their swing, ball flight, and equipment needs to recommend properly fitted clubs. This role combines golf knowledge, technical expertise, customer service, and sales to create a personalized fitting experience for golfers of all skill levels.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct personalized club-fitting sessions using launch monitors and fitting technology.
  • Analyze swing speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, dispersion, and club delivery.
  • Recommend the best clubheads, shafts, lofts, lie angles, lengths, grips, and set configurations for each golfer.
  • Fit customers for drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putters.
  • Explain fitting results and equipment recommendations clearly and confidently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Stay current on golf equipment, shaft technology, fitting methods, and new product releases.
  • Maintain and organize fitting equipment, demo clubs, shafts, and inventory.
  • Prepare accurate club specifications and coordinate custom orders with manufacturers.
  • Follow up with customers after fittings to ensure satisfaction and equipment performance.
  • Support retail sales, special events, demo days, and promotional activities as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of golf equipment, club components, and swing fundamentals.
  • Experience with launch-monitor technology such as TrackMan, Foresight, or Toptracer preferred.
  • Previous experience in club fitting, golf instruction, club repair, retail sales, or customer service is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and translate it into practical equipment recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a sales-focused environment.
  • Passion for golf and helping players improve their game.
  • PGA credentials or manufacturer fitting certifications are preferred but not required.
