Job description

An outstanding locum opportunity is available for a Gastroenterology Physician in York. This role offers a dynamic inpatient setting, flexible block scheduling, and excellent earning potential, making it ideal for physicians seeking both professional growth and schedule flexibility.


Location: York, PA
Start Date: May 4, 2026 (Ongoing Assignment)
Schedule:

  • 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Night call + weekend call required
  • Flexible 7-day blocks (Monday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM)
  • Additional weekday and weekend coverage available

Position Highlights:

  • Mix of procedures, consults, and inpatient care
  • Manage a total patient census of 30–50, with 9–16 new consults daily
  • Work in a large acute care hospital (593 beds)
  • Onsite anesthesiology support
  • No ERCP or EUS required
  • Utilize Epic Systems EMR system
  • Opportunity for ongoing, consistent coverage

✅ Requirements:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active Pennsylvania license OR IMLC
  • DEA required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Ability to manage inpatient consults, rounding, and emergency procedures
