THE OPPORTUNITY

Looking for hands-on work where attention to detail really matters? At Lakeshirts, every garment has a destination, and the Quality Control team helps make sure it gets there looking ah-mazing. This role is a great fit for someone who notices the little things, works well with a team, and takes pride in doing the job right.

In this full-time onsite production role, you will inspect finished apparel, verify quality standards, communicate rework needs, fold, tag, label, box, count, and prepare garments for shipping. You will also use order profiles and basic computer programs to confirm each account is processed correctly. Sewing machine experience is required because this position includes sewing labels on garments.

PAY + SCHEDULE

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN. This is a full-time, onsite production role.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm; Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:00pm; or Monday-Thursday, 4:00pm-2:00am.

Growth: This position starts at $17.00-$22.00 per hour with opportunities to learn, improve, and grow with a production team that values quality, reliability, safety, and teamwork.

A TYPICAL DAY | INSPECT + SORT + FOLD + COUNT + MONITOR + ORGANIZE

  • Inspect finished garments for correct ink colors, thread colors, logo placement, labels, and general flaws.
  • Maintain Lakeshirts quality standards by identifying imperfections and communicating rework needs to the team.
  • Sort, count, fold, tag, label, box, and prepare garments by size, color, and garment style for shipping.
  • Read work orders and order profiles to make sure every customer account is processed correctly.
  • Use computer programs such as Excel, Word, and tablets to access order profiles and garment instructions.
  • Operate sewing equipment to sew labels on garments and complete finishing work accurately.
  • Organize workflow, keep the work area clean and orderly, and help the team keep production moving.
  • Follow safety practices and help resolve safety concerns in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Work actively with others to get the job done and support other duties as assigned.

SKILLS | KEEN EYE FOR DETAIL + METICULOUS + SELF-STARTER

  • Sewing machine experience is required.
  • High school education is desirable, but not required.
  • Basic computer experience required, including Excel, Word, and tablet use.
  • Ability to work well in a team, take direction well, and stay reliable and responsible.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to spot garment defects and quality concerns.
  • Perform repetitive tasks for several hours and stand for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Previous production, apparel, quality control, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to efficiently lift 30-50 pound boxes.
