Adapting to these requirements is key to maintaining project continuity and meeting government standards.

Are full stack devs still in demand?

Full stack developers remain in high demand due to their versatility in handling both front-end and back-end development, especially in government and enterprise projects. Skills in modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and security are increasingly valued, and demand is expected to grow as digital transformation continues across sectors.

What are Weekend Full Stack Developers in government?

Weekend Full Stack Developers in government are professionals who work on both the front-end and back-end aspects of web or software applications, typically on weekends. They are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining government digital services, ensuring they are functional, secure, and user-friendly. These developers may work part-time, contractually, or as part of a flexible schedule to support ongoing projects or urgent needs outside regular business hours. Their work supports the government's digital transformation and helps ensure public services remain available and up-to-date.

Is full stack worth it in 2026?

For a Weekend Full Stack Developer in government roles, full stack development remains valuable due to the demand for versatile skills in web applications and system integration. Job description

Full Stack AI Engeineer Who We Are

Computer Visionaries (CV.AI) is a Dallas-based AI software development firm on a mission to unlock AI for our clients. We help businesses across healthcare, financial services, logistics, legal, and other industries move beyond off-the-shelf SaaS platforms and into custom solutions built specifically for how they operate. Our approach combines full-stack engineering with agentic AI and intelligent automation to deliver systems that create lasting competitive advantage.

Our teams are small, collaborative, and technically sharp. We value engineers who write clean, maintainable code, who are comfortable working alongside AI agents as part of their daily workflow, and who take pride in shipping work that holds up in production. If you want to build real products for real businesses at the intersection of modern software engineering and agentic AI, we'd like to hear from you.

Role Overview

The Full Stack AI Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining web applications and backend services that power CV.AI's client engagements. You will work across the stack, from React and TypeScript frontends to Python and Node.js APIs, relational databases, vector stores, and cloud infrastructure. You will also use AI agents and spec-driven development practices as part of your daily workflow to ship high-quality code at speed.

This role contributes directly to CV.AI's agenda of unlocking AI for our clients. You will participate in sprint ceremonies, present technical progress, and collaborate with client stakeholders to refine requirements. You will work in small pods alongside senior engineers and engagement leads, with meaningful ownership of features and deliverables from day one.

To meet our client's requirements, this role is only open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents. Offer for employment may be contingent on a background check.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incorporate AI into, build, and evolve full-stack web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar) and backend services (Node.js, Python, or Java)
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations that connect to client enterprise systems, databases, and third-party platforms
  • Use spec-driven development and test-driven development practices, incorporating AI agents into your workflow to produce reliable, well-documented code
  • Evaluate and review agent-produced code for quality, security, and alignment with project requirements before it ships
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and design specs into responsive, accessible interfaces
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and maintaining team code quality standards
  • Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decision records, and deployment runbooks
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and technical decisions clearly in client-facing sprint ceremonies and status updates
Required Qualifications
  • 35 years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack or backend-heavy roles
  • Proficiency with at least one modern frontend framework: React, Vue, Angular, or Next.js
  • Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), or Java (Spring Boot)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and experience writing efficient queries
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in a microservices or service-oriented architecture
  • Experience using AI coding agents or assistants (such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) as part of a development workflow
  • Familiarity with spec-driven or test-driven development practices
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control workflows including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to work on a hybrid schedule from our Dallas offices in the Galleria / Addison area
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deployment and infrastructure configuration
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or Chroma) in production environments
  • Exposure to agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Hands-on experience with computer vision libraries or frameworks (OpenCV, TensorFlow, or similar)
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or equivalent) and prompt engineering patterns
  • Prior work in a consulting, agency, or client-embedded delivery model
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA)
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana)
Technical Skills
  • Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, HTML/CSS; Java or Go a plus
  • Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, responsive and accessible UI development
  • Backend: Node.js, Express, FastAPI, Django, or Spring Boot
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis; vector stores (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
  • DevOps: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Testing: Jest, pytest, Cypress, or equivalent; unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices
  • APIs: RESTful design, authentication patterns (OAuth, JWT), versioning, and documentation
  • AI Tooling: Coding agents, spec-driven development workflows, agent output evaluation
Why CV.AI
  • Contribute to CV.AI's mission of unlocking AI for clients across a diverse range of industries
  • Small, high-impact teams where your contributions are visible and valued from day one
  • Hybrid work from our offices near the shops and restaurants of the Galleria and Addison, not a windowless cube farm
  • Work with modern agentic development tools and practices as a natural part of your engineering workflow
  • A culture that values clean code, honest communication, and continuous learning
  • Competitive W2 compensation with a firm that invests in long-term relationships with its engineers
