Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join an eye care practice. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service while handling front-office responsibilities, scheduling, insurance verification, and general administrative duties.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in/out patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and route calls appropriately
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient payments
  • Obtain and update patient medical and insurance information
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Assist with referrals, authorizations, and medical records as needed
  • Communicate with doctors, technicians, and other office staff regarding patient needs
  • Assist patients with eyewear, prescriptions, or other basic questions when appropriate
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties
Qualifications
  • Previous medical receptionist, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office is a plus
