WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $120,000 - $155,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors, including the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Lead – Security Engineer to join our team supporting the Transportation Team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 8–10 years in cybersecurity ops with federal experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications:

  • CISSP or CISM; Security+ CE; CEH (optional).

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity or Information Security.

Clearance:

  • Public Trust or Secret clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Security Engineer position leads cybersecurity operations, ensuring the Department of Transportation infrastructure meets federal security standards and actively mitigates threats.

  • Manage vulnerability scanning, remediation, and POA&M tracking.
  • Support FISMA and NIST SP 800-53 compliance reviews.
  • Implement SIEM monitoring and incident response protocols.
  • Coordinate with the SOC on escalated security incidents.
