Weekend Fish Processing Plant Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The Seafood Fish Cutter is responsible to use hand or hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming of seafood.

Responsibilities and Working Conditions:

• Cut, trim, scrape and boat various cuts of fish]
• Processing (Slicing packing + labeling)
• QA raw and finished materials
• Safe Food Practices specific to department
• Pick food products and pack in boats, totes and boxes
• Scan labels on packages, load packaging machines with boats, and label packages with printed labels
• Spot check packages emerging from machinery for correct labeling
• Assist in shut down procedures
• Apply knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products to everyday operation
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights
• Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators)
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
• Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed

Education and Qualifications:

• High school or GED required.
• Must have fish cutting experience
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Ability to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department)
• Ability to stand for long period of times
• Ability to perform twisting, turning and bending
• Required to wear oil and slip resistance shoes

Note: The hourly range for this role is from $17.25 to $17.25. Specific compensation for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.
