Fiber Optic Technician (Experience required)– Immediate Hiring

Location(s): Tampa, FL and surrounding communities, with openings in PA, TX, CT, AZ, NJ, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, IL, and more.

This is a physically demanding position that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. You'll be part of a team building the nation's expanding fiber optic infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • Perform heavy manual labor and material handling.
  • Load, unload, and transport tools and construction materials.
  • Assist with underground fiber optic cable installation.
  • Operate hand tools and small power equipment.
  • Maintain safe and organized job sites.
  • Install and secure aerial fiber optic cable.
  • Assist with strand, lashing, and cable placement.
  • Operate bucket trucks and aerial equipment (training provided where applicable).
  • Perform cable maintenance and repair.
  • Follow safety procedures while working at heights.
  • Complete job documentation and quality inspections.
  • Dig trenches and excavate by hand and with equipment.
  • Support technicians and crews throughout construction projects.
  • Help install and maintain fiber optic cable on utility poles while working alongside experienced crews to expand high-speed internet networks.


Qualifications

  • Must be reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and uneven terrain.
  • Willing to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
