AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYย ย 

  • Handle sires of varying ages and sizes in a calm, confident manner for optimum productionย ย 
  • Work in a system using established protocolsย 
  • Perform regular livestock care including feeding, cleaning, moving cattle, assisting with health testing and veterinary treatments, and other routine tasksย ย 
  • Operate company farm equipment and vehiclesย ย 
  • Clean and maintain buildings, grounds, and equipmentย ย 

QUALIFICATIONSย ย 

Requiredย 

  • Comfortable working with large animalsย ย 
  • Ability to perform occasional planned weekend dutiesย 
  • Capability to lift/carry up to 50 poundsย 
  • Capacity to work on feet and stand for long periods of timeย 
  • Willingness to learn and follow company protocolsย ย 
  • 5+ years of previous livestock handling experienceย 
  • Experience detecting health and disease symptoms in cattleย 
  • Ability to perform basic equipment and building maintenance repairsย 
  • Post-secondary education in agriculture or related fieldย 
  • Basic computer skills working with Microsoft Officeย
