Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 6:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM (hours may vary based on weather and harvest needs)
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Job Description:

Now hiring a Farm Laborer for a busy potato farming operation in St. Agatha. This is a hands-on role for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and staying active. Prior work experience in a farm or agricultural setting is helpful, but not required.
The Farm Laborer will assist with routine tasks around the farm, including operating agricultural equipment, planting and harvesting crops, maintaining fields and facilities, and performing general labor as needed. The employee will play an important role in supporting efficient, safe, and productive farming operations throughout the growing and harvest seasons. Ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working long hours in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate farm equipment and machinery, including tractors, harvesters, loaders, and other agricultural tools.
  • Assist with planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting potato crops.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs or mechanical issues.
  • Load, unload, and transport harvested crops and farm materials.
  • Perform routine cleaning, fueling, and basic maintenance of machinery.
  • Support storage, grading, and packing operations as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with field preparation, soil management, and drainage work.
  • Follow proper handling and safety procedures for tools, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Work collaboratively with farm supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
  • Perform general labor duties, including lifting, carrying, and manual field work.
  • Follow all workplace safety and environmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Previous farm, agricultural, or equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate farm machinery.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to move/lift up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
