Job description

Are you passionate about animals and looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real difference every day? Join our dedicated production team as a Nursery Technician and play a key part in caring for young piglets during a critical stage of their growth. In this rewarding role, you'll help ensure their health, comfort, and well-being-while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
As a Nursery Technician, you'll be directly involved in nurturing our piglets and maintaining a clean, safe, and enriching environment. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Caring for piglets by performing daily health and comfort checks.
  • Creating a positive environment through attentive feeding, watering, and barn upkeep.
  • Maintaining detailed records to track animal health and ensure top-quality care.
  • Supporting animal movement and ensuring living spaces are safe, clean, and comfortable.
  • Following animal welfare practices to ensure every piglet is treated with compassion and respect.

What We're Looking For:
  • A High School Diploma or GED proffered, not required
  • A strong work ethic with attention to detail and a caring nature.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in barn environments.
  • Willingness to work Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays.
  • A genuine interest in animal care and welfare.

Why You'll Love It Here:
  • Hands-on experience with animals-help piglets thrive and grow!
  • Team-focused atmosphere where your contributions are valued and supported.
  • Feel-good work-leave each day knowing you've helped improve the lives of animals.
  • Opportunities for growth in a stable, animal-focused agricultural career.

Work Environment:
You'll spend your time in dynamic, barn-based settings where every day is different. Be prepared for a variety of conditions-some noise, odors, and the need to roll up your sleeves for active, rewarding work. If you love animals and don't mind getting a little dirty to care for them, this is the place for you!
BENEFITS & PERKS:
We are committed to supporting our team members both personally and professionally. Our comprehensive benefits package may include:
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) options
  • 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing opportunities
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage
  • Educational assistance and professional development opportunities
  • Employee recognition programs
  • Relocation assistance to qualified candidates
