Job description

STARTING RATE:  $12.00 + Tips

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  21 years old                    

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  S. Nevada Health District Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for keeping all bar areas stocked with supplies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be customer service and team orientated.  Must have basic math skills.  Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.  Must be flexible, adaptable, and self motivated.

Pool Bar Back:

Must be able to work in an outdoor pool environment, in extreme weather conditions, which includes extreme heat and direct sunlight throughout the scheduled shift.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Clean bar and equipment and replenish bar supplies such as liquor, liquor mixes, milk, whipping cream, fruit caddie, ice, napkins, straws, etc.
  1. Complete inventory and paperwork as assigned.
  1. Organize and maintain bar storage areas, stock coolers.
  1. Assist the bartender with customers when needed.
  1. Responsible to meet: Health and Safety Regulations, company guidelines, service standards, labor standards, and product quality within all areas of the beverage department.
  1. Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.  The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as kitchens, restaurants, bars, coolers, offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences, and commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with kitchen equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire, health and safety regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.  The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino.  This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
