Job Description

The Director of Public Relations & Communications will lead all external messaging, media relations, and brand storytelling. This role partners closely with executive leadership and plays a key part in shaping the organization’s public voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute PR and communication strategies
  • Manage media outreach, pitching, and press relationships
  • Lead crisis and issues communication planning
  • Create compelling stories and content for diverse audiences
  • Support executive communications and thought leadership
  • Draft press releases, announcements, and internal updates
  • Serve as spokesperson when needed
  • Attend occasional weekend/evening events (exhibit openings, galas)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field
  • 7–10 years of communications or PR experience, including leadership
  • Strong media relations background with established contacts
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting C‑suite executives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Professional presence and polished communication style
