Job description

Evaluates the physiological aspects of activity and determines an individual exercise prescription in order to facilitate achievement of optimal physical and mental reconditioning. Evaluates clients and detects risk factors for heart and chronic disease, provides patient education, and emotional support to further facilitate the client health and wellness.
Identifies physiological mechanisms underlying physical activity.
Delivers comprehensive treatment services concerned with the analysis, improvement, and maintenance of health and fitness.
Assists in the rehabilitation of clients with heart/lung disease and other chronic diseases and/or disabilities.
Provides professional guidance and counsel of athletes and others interested in athletics.
Provides sports training, and human adaptability to acute and chronic exercise.
Responsible for client education.
Communicates exercise programs to clients of all knowledge levels.
Observes and recognizes exercise performance.
Exhibits knowledge of appropriate exercises and exercise equipment
Prefer Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.
Graduate of an exercise physiology/exercise science program.
Must have BLS/CPR by the American Heart Association.
