The Event Coordinator will assist in local lead generation efforts that deliver on our overall business goals. This role will work closely with the Marketing Manager to promote the brand, services and products of Pella via marketing programs and events targeting our Builder, Architect, Contractor, and Homeowner customers throughout our region. This role will require an individual who is self-motivated, outgoing, and enjoys meeting and working with people.

Here’s what winning looks like in this role:
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of a variety of events (shows, festivals, conferences, showroom events, golf events, etc). Possible set-up, break-down of event displays and visual merchandise.
  • Coordinate event details between logistics, marketing and sales personnel
  • Ability to approach potential customers in a friendly, outgoing manner, assessing their needs and desires for Pella products, with the goal of connecting them with our Sales Consultants.
  • Integrate innovative, creative ways to drive engagement with customers at events
  • Generate, process and track event leads. Set appointments at events
  • Promote events and marketing programs via tactics including:
  • Email Marketing
  • Social Media Engagement
  • Postcards/Flyers
  • Review, synthesize and learn to analyze data from events and showrooms, including results of marketing and sales campaigns
  • Input and maintain accurate information in lead management software
  • Report on key metrics (leads generated, revenue, etc)
  • Capture traffic, leads and appointments
  • Prepare and make ready needed materials to support Shows, Events and Campaigns

Skills needed to win:
  • Strong organizational skills (manage detailed information, organize work and meet deadlines)
  • Able to gather, organize and analyze data to clearly understand program performance 
  • Strong critical thinking skills. Able to use data to develop well thought out recommendations and solutions to business problems as well as to identify new opportunities for driving performance 
  • Customer-driven  
  • Able to immediately handle a varied workload and effectively prioritize projects with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced work environment  
  • Demonstrated ability in local field marketing and driving sales to take ideas from concept to implementation
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to produce internal documents, presentations, collateral materials and field communications
  • Capable of working closely and at ease with all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to develop relationships and gain respect of all team members
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in-person and via telephone 
  • Quickly analyze situations, identify and troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions and use good judgment in making decisions
