Commercial Electrical Estimator - Knoxville, TN - $75K+ (DOE), Paid Weekly

A growing electrical construction company in Knoxville is hiring a Commercial Electrical Estimator to own the bidding process from takeoff to award. If you're sharp with plans, know your way around a bid, and want real ownership over the estimates you build, let's talk.

What you'll do:

  • Review plans and specs to build accurate cost estimates for commercial electrical projects
  • Perform material and labor takeoffs, and price out equipment and subcontractor scope
  • Build detailed proposals and present estimates in bid meetings
  • Spot value engineering opportunities — better materials, smarter methods, real savings
  • Maintain a sharp, current pricing database for materials, labor, and equipment
  • Partner with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to keep bids competitive and accurate

What you bring:

  • 3–4+ years of estimating experience (electrical construction preferred) — or a strong field electrician background ready to move into estimating
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Solid grasp of electrical codes and comfort reading civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans
  • Bluebeam experience a plus
  • Comfortable in Microsoft Office and estimating software

Good to know:

  • $75,000+/year to start, commensurate with experience — paid weekly
  • Occasional extended hours or weekends during peak bid periods (not the norm)
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
