This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well asadditionaloperating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG,sleepand rehabilitation services. Weare welcomingnew caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. As Department Supervisor II- Surgical Support Services, you will supervise caregivers, acting as a technical resource for the team and goal implementation. Your focus will be on creating a cohesive,collaborative,and strong workplace environment where every caregiver can excel in their roles while providing the best patient care possible. You willidentifyimprovement opportunities,monitorprogress, offer training asneeded,and seek ways to enhance the department.

A caregiver in this position works evenings from of 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. with rotating weekends and holiday requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Supervise caregivers in daily operations.
  • Maintain staffing levels.
  • Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
  • Provide leadership and training.
  • Coordinate and provide orientation and education.
  • Analyzeworkflowand procedures.
  • Identifyand implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed,qualityand effectiveness.
  • Ensure cross coverage.
  • Develop an effective work team.
  • Encourage and support morale building activities and positive attitudes.
  • Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Associate'sDegreeand two years of related supervisory experienceORHighSchoolDiploma/GED and four years of experience
  • Knowledge of supervision, training,developmentand public relations practices
  • Available 24/7 through an issues pager or cell phone

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Healthcare experience in a large organization

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
  • In some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $47,530.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $72,475.00

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
