  • Perform risk assessments, including Job Hazard Analysis, for new processes and equipment to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly EHS metrics and report results to onsite management and corporate reporting systems.
  • Support management efforts to ensure compliance with corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures, including ergonomic improvements, to reduce injury risk.
  • Establish and manage the safety committee, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Drive continual improvement efforts to reduce site safety and environmental risk through proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Support site stand-up meetings, safety committee activities, and floor inspections to reinforce safety culture and compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues while handling sensitive EHS information.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in EHS support, particularly in warehousing or similar industrial environments.
  • Experience in environmental health and safety within a manufacturing plant or machine shop setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and applicable environmental and safety standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and Job Hazard Analysis for processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues.
  • Capability to promote EHS awareness and effectively communicate safety and environmental requirements to employees.
  • Ability to support and perform audits, inspections, and compliance tasks related to waste, storm water, chemicals, and life safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment with complex equipment and processes.
  • Experience in environmental health, occupational health, or industrial hygiene within industrial operations.
  • Experience supporting regulated waste management, including consolidation and inspection activities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and influence leadership to adopt best-in-class EHS practices.
  • Experience establishing and managing safety committees or similar safety-focused groups.
