This is an onsite position located in the Richmond, VA area. Candidates must live in the area or being willing to relocate.


Integrity Environmental Solutions is seeking an Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our Environmental Services Team in Richmond, VA. Integrity is an energetic environmental consulting firm offering engineering, environmental, operation/maintenance, and construction services to the solid waste industry.

Integrity is looking to strengthen the Environmental Services Group in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Interested candidates should thrive in an everchanging, fast-paced environment while working both in a team and independently to get the job done. This role will be mostly field work with some in office time, typically completed during a regular work week, Monday through Friday, with occasional overnight travel and weekend needs. We value organic growth and treat this role as a building block towards a successful career in the industry. Desirable candidates will be self-starters who can work efficiently without constant direction and be flexible to changing priorities.


Job responsibilities to include:

  • Maintain and schedule all field equipment required for upcoming events
  • Sampling all types of media: groundwater, surface water, soil, stormwater, air/gas
  • Landfill gas monitoring and system operation
  • Maintenance on field equipment
  • Restocking of disposable field equipment
  • Assist PMs with project needs
  • Development of groundwater potentiometric maps
  • Compliance reporting
  • Conducting Environmental Phase I/II Assessments
  • Develop and maintain client relationships

Seeking candidates with attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, the ability to work well in group or individual settings, and the willingness to learn and be a part of a great team.


Skills:

  • Ability to collect and record detailed notes
  • Ability to log and classify soils/bedrock
  • Strong safety mindset
  • Strong communication skills, oral, and written
  • Ability to meet and manage deadlines (internal and external)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Excellent leadership skills; team player


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree or higher in Environmental Science
  • Must be able to regularly lift 75 pounds and be able to traverse steep or rugged terrain
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions: rain, sun, heat, cold.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check
  • Must be over the age of 21 to meet the requirements of our insurance company


Preferred Qualifications

  • Geology Degree
