Job description

Summary

The Armed Security Officer provides first response to emergencies , enforces federal law and assimilated state law , and conducts mobile patrols to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and government assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide access control and traffic control , ensuring safe and secure movement throughout the facility, and conduct both walking and motorized armed security patrols.

  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks , including package and parcel inspections, in accordance with established security procedures.

  • Work flexible hours , including weekends and holidays, as required to support operational needs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), or

  • Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), or

  • Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, or successful completion of a police officers basic training academy.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license.

  • Successfully pass background and drug screening
