Job description

Position Summary: The Hotmix Parts & Service Customer Support partners directly with an assigned Account Manager and provide critical support across the full sales process. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn about the asphalt equipment industry, develop meaningful customer relationships, and grow into a future Account Manager role. The Customer Support position plays a pivotal role in customer communication, quoting, order coordination, vendor interaction, CRM management, scheduling, and ensuring accurate and timely information flows to both customers and internal teams. With comprehensive training and strong mentorship from experienced Account Managers, this is an excellent entry point into a long-term sales career within the Stansteel-Hotmix family of companies.

Key Responsibilities

·         Work closely with an assigned Account Manager(s) to support daily sales activities.

·         Communicate professionally with customers and vendors via phone and email.

·         Prepare and update quotes, proposals, pricing sheets, and sales documents.

·         Assist with customer inquiries, order follow-up, and general sales coordination.

·         Maintain CRM data accuracy including customer profiles, opportunities, activities, and notes.

·         Track orders, shipments, lead times, and vendor confirmations.

·         Organize and maintain sales records, customer correspondence, and digital files.

·         Assist in gathering product information, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.

·         Communicate with internal departments such as Engineering, Project Management, Parts, and Automation to ensure alignment and timely responses.

·         Learn Hotmix/Stansteel products, systems, components, and service offerings.

·         Develop basic mechanical aptitude to understand equipment functions and customer needs.

·         Support Account Managers by researching parts, equipment, and replacement options.

·         Participate in team training activities to build understanding of asphalt plants and associated equipment.

·         Work collaboratively with the sales team, support specialists, engineering, and leadership.

·         Participate in team meetings, sales discussions, and forecasting sessions.

·         Support Account Managers by providing accurate, timely, and proactive communication and documentation.

·         Provide exceptional customer service and uphold professional communication standards.

·         Maintain organized work files, accurate CRM entries, and up-to-date sales information.

·         Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Required

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

·         Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a high volume of communication.

·         Proficiency in computer software including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and CRM systems.

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         Willingness to learn about asphalt equipment, plant components, and industry terminology.

·         Professional demeanor and a collaborative, team-first approach.

·         Ability to lift 50lbs.

·         Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods

Preferred

·         Prior sales support or customer service experience.

·         Experience working with engineering or industrial products.
