Job description

OVERVIEW

Electrolit Manufacturing USA (EMUSA) is a new, state-of-the-art beverage manufacturing facility in Waco, TX. The 640,000 sqft. Facility is situated in the Texas Central Industrial Park and will be operating on a 24/7 schedule. The facility will manufacture and distribute the 26 flavors of ElectrolitTM - the fastest growing isotonic hydration beverage in the US.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Process Maintenance Engineer is to be an expert for the Liquid manufacturing processes, providing technical leadership and ensures maximum equipment uptime, process efficiency, and workplace safety by combining mechanical repair skills with process optimization; driving process improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet organizational goals using continuous improvement methodologies. This position will be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the optimal operation of their assigned plant’s manufacturing processes i.e., hands-on process adjustments. Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on process equipment.
  • Monitor equipment parameters, analyze system data, and adjust workflows to maximize efficiency.
  • Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures
  • Trains operators and troubleshoots process problems. This includes SOP, lessons learn, centerline documents and process control plans.
  • Leads the maintenance activities. Perform scheduled inspections, calibrations, and component replacements.
  • Maintain comprehensive digital logs of repairs, part inventories, and equipment modifications.
  • Ensure products meet the organizations and customer’s quality and product integrity requirements.
  • Works closely with the storeroom coordinator on parts management and defines long-range goals for this area
  • Participates in a Continuous Quality Improvement team for plant process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree related to manufacturing process with a minimum of 5 years of maintenance and manufacturing process experience.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma or GED is required; with a minimum of 8 years of manufacturing process experience.
  • Must have knowledge of the processes in the food and beverage industry.
  • Fundamental understanding of liquid processing systems, including pumps, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, filtration systems, CIP, COP processes, etc.
  • Knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Related work experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience leading a team of technicians.
  • Willingness to work after working hours, weekends, or on-call hours.
  • Fluency in English required, Spanish is a plus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environment within a beverage manufacturing facility. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, automated and manual production equipment, wet or humid conditions, temperature variations, and moderate to high noise levels. Employees may be required to work on elevated work surfaces, platforms, ladders, or stairs, and in or around confined or restricted spaces in accordance with applicable safety procedures and training. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn at all times while on the production floor or in designated work areas, in accordance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, balance, push, pull, and use hands and arms to operate machinery, tools, and equipment. The role involves repetitive motions, sustained physical activity, and maintaining situational awareness in a dynamic production environment. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Work schedules may include extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and/or holidays based on production demands.
