Our Supplier Industrialization team enables the successful launch of innovative vehicle programs through the industrialization of complex wiring harness systems across a global supplier network. In this highly visible role, the Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer serves as the technical leader for supplier manufacturing readiness, driving industrialization strategy, supplier capability development, manufacturing risk mitigation, and flawless program execution from sourcing through SOP.

This individual partners closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Supplier partners to ensure manufacturing processes, tooling, capacity, and quality systems are capable of meeting aggressive program targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer provides subject matter expertise in wiring harness manufacturing technologies and serves as a mentor to other Supplier Industrialization Engineers while influencing technical and business decisions across multiple vehicle programs. In this role you will:

  • Lead the industrialization strategy and manufacturing readiness of wiring harness suppliers across multiple vehicle programs, ensuring successful launches and operational excellence.
  • Drive supplier capability development through APQP, PPAP, process audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Influence product design, sourcing decisions, and manufacturing strategies by partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations.
  • Serve as the technical authority for supplier manufacturing, leading critical escalations, mentoring engineering teams, and establishing best practices across the supplier network.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, supplier industrialization, or product launch environments.
  • 7+ years of direct experience industrializing wiring harnesses, high-voltage cables, power distribution systems, electromechanical assemblies, or similar automotive components.
  • Proven history of successfully launching multiple automotive programs from sourcing through SOP.
  • In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and applicable USCAR standards.
  • Strong quality engineering experience; VDA 6.3 auditor certification and/or experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of metrology, inspection methods, and measurement equipment.
  • Technical expertise in automotive power distribution design and manufacturing, including safety and testing requirements for automotive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, particularly Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business decisions at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Experience leading technical organizations, mentoring engineers, and developing engineering standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$118,900—$174,350 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.  Eligible employees may also participate in Lucids equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
