Support service employees assist entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams through finance, accounting, IT, and other back-office operations.

Job Description

Position Summary

Ecommerce Copywriter exists to promote Winsupply products and services on winsupplyinc.com by writing concise and compelling copy for Winsupply’s products and website properties. The Ecommerce Copywriter will create and maintain brand copy standards and style guide documentation as well as research best practices to improve SEO efforts. The Ecommerce Copywriter also ensure that marketing content for a product presents its brand in a compelling and engaging manner.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Writes clear and engaging content for describing item and product data, including item name, description
  • Reviews item data provided from 3rd party vendors, ensures matches Winsupply style guide
  • Maintains Winsupply Product Information Style Guide
  • Conducts research and recommends enhancements to Winsupply’s website properties to improve site optimization for search engines as well as user experience. This includes but not limited to category pages, brand pages and industry pages.
  • Ensures that the company’s content presents an accurate description of the products and is consistent with the brand
  • Updates product descriptions for displayed on company’s websites as well as other online pages as needed
  • Creates website content, applying SEO principles for the purpose of maximizing reach to the target audience
  • Conducts competitive research for identifying the company’s weak as well as strong points
  • Collaborates with designers for creating graphics that support text
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA in English, Marketing or Advertising; or 3+ yrs of relevant work
  • Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Prior experience as an Ecommerce Copywriter
  • A portfolio of copywriting samples
  • Sound knowledge of a content management system (e.g. WordPress)
  • Familiarity with keyword search methods as well as SEO tools
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and online campaigns
  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • A keen eye for details
  • An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
