Walden Behavioral Care is seeking a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine-Pediatrics Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at our Dedham, MA, location. This physician will play a crucial role in the medical management of patients with eating disorders and co-occurring medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative behavioral health setting. 

Pay: $225,000.00-$275,000.00 depending on experience

Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, treatment, and ongoing management for patients receiving eating disorder treatment at Walden Behavioral Care. 
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff to ensure holistic, integrated patient care. 
  • Monitor and manage medical complications related to eating disorders, including but not limited to electrolyte imbalances, malnutrition, and refeeding syndrome. 
  • Conduct routine medical assessments and follow-ups, including laboratory review and medication management. 
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized treatment planning. 
  • Educate patients and families on medical aspects of eating disorders, treatment options, and recovery strategies. 
  • Support transitions of care, including discharge planning and coordination with outpatient providers. 
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. 
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. 
  • Board certification (or eligibility) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine and Pediatrics (both). 
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain). 
  • Experience in behavioral health, eating disorder treatment, or hospital-based medicine is preferred but not required. 
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to manage medically complex patients. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented approach to care.
