About Us

Since 1983 The Shyne School has been providing high quality care for children 1 to 6 years old. We have long term teachers 5 to 18 years and the director Katrina Brooke has been here for 23 years. Teachers have a voice, are valued and seen. The Shyne School is in Woodinville, Washington; about one mile North of Redmond city limits, on Avondale Road. We are close to Kirkland and Duvall as well. We specialize in licensed play-based educational programs for children ages 1 to 5 years old. Parents have the flexibility to choose from three different daily schedules for toddlers through Pre-Kindergarten. We have long-term staff. Teachers are consistently in their own classrooms and not sent home when numbers are low so you can expect a consistant number of hours. We are non-corporate, sole owner and teachers and director make program decisions. Low teacher turn over, low student turn over. We are full for fall, with waiting lists. We just have a spot for a great Full Time assistant teacher. The school also has students who are up to 6 years old during school holidays. You can google our Shyneschool web site.
