SEASONAL LABORER - Weekend Schedule

Full-Time, Seasonal Position | Pay Rate: $18.23/hour


We love that our community enjoys our park pavilions and facilities for their weekend gatherings. Often, they are scheduled back-to-back as families and friends gather to enjoy the outdoors at one of our beautiful facilities. Our goal is to have the facility in good shape for each user and we achieve this by asking each user to clean up after their group and by having a team check and service the facilities throughout the weekend.

Our weekend team consists of two employees working together from 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday-Tuesday.

Your typical duties will include:

  • Reviewing reservation schedules with the work lead.
  • Filling a tank affixed to a utility trailer with water, driving a vehicle and towing the trailer to respective locations, operating the power washer to clean facilities.
  • Removing garbage, lost and found, and other materials from facilities.
  • Responding to unusual circumstances that may exist at the facilities in between use.
  • Ensuring that garbage receptacles are serviced periodically through the days' use.
  • Providing excellent customer service to the public while interacting with them at facilities.
  • Inspecting pavilions and facilities after use and reporting damage or other violations of use agreements to the parks maintenance supervisor.

This position is physical in nature.

Our ideal candidate will be available through the end of October.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Utah Driver's License for at least 12 months (not including time with learner's permit) and a driver record acceptable to Tooele City's risk management and insurance standards.
  • Be able to work the schedule.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for the work and team work.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with affixing and towing a small trailer.
  • Be able to work in the outdoor environment.
  • Be able to perform the physical duties of the position.
