Position: Seasonal Floral Designer and Installer

Department: Operations, Floral Design and Weddings

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Report to: Autumn Major, GM

Standard work week: Seasonal (Tuesday-Saturday, some Sundays)

Pay: $15+/hourly based on experience

Locally crafted flowers for fair and honest prices across locations in Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, as well as overnight shipping to most of the Great Lakes region. We are looking for a dedicated Floral Designer + Installer to prepare, design, and wrap bouquets/arrangements, help prepare routes, assist with studio upkeep, and install/strike weddings and events. This candidate is a punctual, efficient, hardworking individual comfortable working with their hands and on their feet. You love being around plants and flowers, and working with a team in a fast-paced environment!

This is a seasonal role to help with our busy wedding season. However, outstanding candidates are often asked to return!

Responsibilities:

Daily Design/Studio Role:

  • Wrap bouquets and arrangements for our daily delivery orders

  • Design bouquets and arrangements by following a recipe

  • Clean and prep glassware and vases

  • Assist with basic preparation and processing

  • Ensuring top quality of all daily delivery flowers and materials

  • Clean and organize studio after each shift

  • Assemble delivery boxes

  • Occasional heavy lifting

  • Working with your hands and on your feet

Wedding Install/Strike Role:

  • Pack flowers and materials

  • Drive Flowers for Dreams cargo vehicles

  • Transport florals and decor from our studio to various venues

  • Setup and breakdown hardware, floral decor, greenery, table decor, arches, etc

  • Go back to venue, break everything down and bring back to studio

  • Ability to work long hours on feet, working with your hands, occasional heavy lifting

  • Greet and engage with customers onsite with a friendly professionalism

  • Maintain an upbeat, positive, energetic attitude

  • Ability to remain calm and problem solve while working under time pressure

  • Shared aesthetic preferences and values with the Flowers for Dreams brand

  • Must be able to work weekends

  • Abide by Flowers for Dreams dress code while at venues
