  • Role: Daycare & Playgroup Monitor
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, starting in late July- early August 2026

Blair Animal Clinic & Klondike Kennels is looking for a Daycare & Playgroup Monitor to join the team at Klondike Canine Academy, the behavior and training branch of our practice. In this role, you'll oversee off-leash playgroups and daycare sessions while helping each dog have a safe, active, and enjoyable experience. Forget boring office meetings - your day may include belly rubs, fetch, tail wags, and helping dogs build confidence through structured play.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise playgroups and daycare sessions to ensure a safe and positive experience
  • Monitor canine behavior and report changes or concerns to leadership
  • Engage with pet parents and provide updates on their dog's progress
  • Help dogs stay active through guided play sessions
  • Clean and set up play areas and kennel runs
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
  • Support a clean, organized, and positive daycare environment

What Our Daycare & Playgroup Monitors Bring

  • Previous dog care experience preferred, such as dog walking, pet sitting, dog daycare, boarding kennel, or veterinary assistant experience
  • Strong desire to learn about canine behavior
  • Confidence walking and handling large dogs over 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, even when the weather is not ideal
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, school breaks, and holidays
