Pacific Companies is proud to present an academic-focused Internal Medicine opportunity in Rancho Cucamonga, California. This role is ideal for physicians who are passionate about teaching and mentorship, offering the chance to serve as a primary preceptor for Internal Medicine residents in a structured outpatient environment. Most of the clinical care is performed alongside residents, allowing you to focus on education and only seeing patients independently when necessary. You will practice in a brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic designed specifically as a centralized residency training hub. With a fully outpatient model and no call responsibilities, this position provides exceptional work-life balance. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow an evolving residency program while practicing meaningful, team-based medicine. 
 
Position, Compensation & Organization Highlights 

  • Academic Internal Medicine role with hands-on resident teaching 
  • Primary preceptor for 4 Internal Medicine residents 
  • Minimal to no independent patient volume capped at 5 or fewer patients per day 
  • 100 percent outpatient practice with no inpatient responsibilities 
  • Brand-new clinic with 12 exam rooms built for residency training 
  • Collaborative team including 4 residents and 1 Nurse Practitioner 
  • Clinic volume supported by team-based care with 40 or more visits daily 
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8AM-5PM with half-day Fridays for admin time 
  • No call, nights, or weekends required 
  • Optional weekend moonlighting available at approximately $1,500 per shift 
  • Geriatric-focused patient population with continuity of care emphasis 
  • Opportunity to help build and expand an Internal Medicine residency program 
  • Affiliated with a 363-bed nonprofit Level 3 Trauma Center 
  • Compensation: $270K-$300K base plus productivity bonus and sign-on bonus
