Opportunity:  Lifeguard

Promote the safety and well-being of guests utilizing the pool facilities in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.


Potential Career Path   

Lifeguard Supervisor -  Recreations Manager

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor guest activity in pool area to ensure safe use of the pool. 
  • Apply and enforce pool rules and regulations consistently.
  • Assist distressed swimmers in emergency swimming situations. 
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and provide first aid in emergency situations as trained and authorized.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide resort information upon request.
  • Perform general maintenance and care of facilities and equipment as requested.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard License required. 
  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred.

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Work area contains exposure to chemicals such as chlorine and other water purification chemicals.
