Job description

Scope:
Palmetto Propane, Fuels, and Ice is a leading provider of propane and fuel services across South Carolina. As a Propane and Fuel Delivery Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane and fuel products. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, value safety, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
  • Deliver propane and fuel to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.
  • Operate propane delivery trucks safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment to reflect professionalism
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to company safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Follow OSHA, DOT, and all state/federal safety and transport regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Valid Class A or B CDL (required), with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and manual transmission experience preferred.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform other physical tasks.
  • Willing to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and dispatch systems.
  • Availability to work full-time hours, overtime, and assist with disaster relief efforts as needed.
