Job description

Job Summary:
IPS-Integrated Project Services is a global leader in developing innovative solutions for technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. They are looking for a talented Senior VDC Software Developer to lead the development of digital solutions that support pharmaceutical construction projects, focusing on building new add-ins and maintaining existing tools to enhance project delivery and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Works on complex assignments independently, with attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues; involves others in decisions when needed.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom software applications.
• Work directly with the VDC team.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, validation, and project management teams to identify digital opportunities and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Integrate software with BIM platforms, project management tools, and compliance systems.
• Ensure software solutions meet industry standards for data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Create, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across all software.
• Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to construction tech.
• Maintenance of interactive dashboards.
• Proficient in Clarity, Power BI, Fuzor, Takt planning, and other field technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with some time spent in a senior/lead role.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (C#, Unity, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Familiarity with construction technologies (Autodesk Forge, Revit APIs, Navisworks, etc.).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to assist in implementing new software and standards.
• Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations.
• Has great organizational skills and can juggle multiple jobs and assignments.
• Customer service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with individuals (co-workers, clients, vendors) at all levels.
• Has a high level of understanding and capabilities in C# (C-Sharp) and Unity coding language.
• Has working knowledge in Navisworks, Revit, BIM 360 / ACC, Fuzor (model animations), and Web development.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions.
• This position will have 0-25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.
• Work schedule may require flexibility, including availability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, as well as weekend.
• This position is a safety-sensitive position.
• The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research or other 'non-administrative' areas.
