Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a Mission Assurance Analyst III to support mission risk assessments and terrain mapping activities to identify and mitigate threats to critical operations and assets. This mid-level role contributes to the execution of the Mission Assurance Construct (MAC), including MRT-C mapping, threat correlation, and POA&M development.
Responsibilities
  • Provide situational awareness and mission analysis to support operational decision-making, utilizing mission mapping and mission decomposition across diverse operational environments.
  • Execute MADSS-Aligned Assessments, including cyberspace terrain mapping, data capture, and iterative risk assessments under the guidance of the senior team lead.
  • Analyze Operational Technology (OT) Environments, including Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to assess critical mission impact.
  • Assist in identifying and validating Task Critical Assets (TCAs) and Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) to determine operational dependencies and vulnerabilities.
  • Support Environment Discovery Processes, including conducting on-site assessments/facility walkthroughs and utilizing approved discovery and assessment tools.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining MADSS (Mission Assurance Decision Support System) in strict compliance with HQDA EXORD 133-24 and JFHQ-DODIN EXORD 8600-26.
  • Support Knowledge Management and Data Analysis across functional areas to generate actionable operational intelligence and support the senior MRT-C Lead with ad-hoc mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Stakeholders across cybersecurity, operations, and intelligence teams to develop mission assurance documentation, risk mitigation plans, and executive summaries.
  • Maintain Active Threat Awareness by staying current with emerging vulnerabilities, adversary methodologies, and mitigation strategies to integrate them into ongoing planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Information Assurance, Intelligence Studies, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in mission assurance, cybersecurity, or risk management roles.
    • Strong analytical background with a deep understanding of mission assurance (MA) methodologies, cyber defense, and U.S. military operations.
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications like CISSP, Security+, CISM, and CEH are preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with MADSS, HQDA EXORD 133-24, JFHQ-DODIN EXORD 8600-26, and the overarching DoD Mission Assurance Construct.
  • Ability to standardize data capture, utilize secure metadata tagging, and support the implementation of dashboards visualizing TCA/DCI posture, vulnerabilities, and network segmentation coverage.
  • Highly skilled in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project, or equivalent project management, data analysis, and technical diagramming tools to track and visualize team efforts.
  • Working knowledge of cyber terrain mapping, mission dependency analysis, and the ability to correlate cyber threats with real-world operational impacts.
  • Practical understanding of POA&M processes, cyber defense compliance, and military business process workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored for drafting high-quality technical documentation and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, support senior analysts, and process complex information to solve operational challenges.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and travel up to 20% annually to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required by the mission. (1 to 2 weeks a quarter).
