Job description

Overview
Syosset Dental is searching for a part-time Dental Receptionist to join our dedicated team! We take pride in providing exceptional dental care. The best individual for this role has strong communication skills, is team-oriented, and can multitask effectively.
Compensation: $27-30 per hour, based on experience
Schedule
  • Part-time
  • Approximately 25 hours per week
  • Monday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Tuesday, 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday, 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm
  • Thursday/Friday, OFF (with possibility of adding every other Friday in the future, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm)
  • 2-3 Saturdays a month, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Responsibilities
  • Experienced dental receptionist, savvy with working with major PPO networks in addition to FFS patients, processing claims, preauthorizations, adjustments, and schedules
  • Responsibilities include phones, checking patients in and out, scheduling, recalls, billing, electronic insurance filing, and follow-up
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments/manage changes in schedule to ensure smooth workflow
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing and payments

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of prior dental front office experience is required
  • Proficiency in Dentrix dental software
  • Experience with Insurance coordination
  • Orthodontic knowledge is a plus (coding, etc.)
  • Social media is a plus
