Short Description: Data Analyst provides technical analysis, automation, & fulfillment of data requests. Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL and Python required. Execute complex data requests, perform deep-dive profiling, & resolve data discrepancies to support.

Complete Description:

  • The Data Analyst is responsible for the technical analysis, automation, and fulfillment of enterprise data requests within the Department’s digital infrastructure. This role requires a high degree of proficiency in Snowflake SQL and Python to manage complex data workflows. The Analyst will be responsible for not only writing new scripts to automate ticket resolutions but also for auditing, understanding, and optimizing existing codebase to ensure system continuity. Working within cloud environments (Snowflake/AWS), the analyst will execute complex data requests, perform deep-dive profiling, and resolve data discrepancies to support the Department’s modernization initiatives.
  • Snowflake SQL Development: Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL scripts within the Snowflake environment to fulfill ad-hoc data requests and perform system-wide data analysis.
  • Codebase Auditing: Review and interpret existing Python and SQL code to troubleshoot errors, suggest improvements, and ensure new automations align with established logic.
  • Support Automation: Develop and deploy Python-based scripts to automate the resolution of recurring support tickets, significantly reducing manual intervention for common data tasks.
  • Cloud Data Operations: Perform data profiling and validation within Snowflake and AWS to ensure data integrity across the Project Nexus ecosystem.
  • Request Fulfillment: Serve as the technical point of contact for complex data inquiries, translating business requirements into precise technical deliverables.
