Weekend Data Migration information

What is a weekend data migration?

A Weekend Data Migration job involves transferring data from one system or platform to another during weekends to minimize disruption to regular business operations. Professionals in this role are responsible for planning, executing, and verifying data migrations, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process. These jobs often require expertise in database management, data mapping, and troubleshooting. Weekend shifts are common because system downtime is less likely to impact business activities during these periods.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend data migration specialist?

To thrive as a Weekend Data Migration Specialist, you need expertise in database management, data mapping, and experience with data migration processes, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with ETL tools, SQL, and systems like Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Azure is typically required, and relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer can be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for coordinating with teams and troubleshooting issues under tight timelines. These skills ensure data integrity, minimize downtime, and enable smooth system transitions during critical weekend migration windows.

What are some common challenges faced during weekend data migration projects, and how can I prepare for them?

Weekend data migration roles often involve tight timelines and the need to minimize downtime for critical business systems. Common challenges include unexpected data compatibility issues, managing large volumes of data within limited windows, and coordinating across IT teams to ensure a smooth transition. To prepare, it's important to thoroughly review migration plans, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and have contingency strategies for potential setbacks. Familiarity with data migration tools and strong troubleshooting skills can help you address issues quickly and keep the project on track.

Euna Solutions

Re-posted 7 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-level implementations, including scope, timeline, risk, and stakeholder communication.

  • Plan and facilitate working sessions to document current workflows, design future workflows, and manage change with customers.

  • Lead data migration activities, build and troubleshoot SQL views and stored procedures, and configure integrations and application workflows.

Job description

The Opportunity

At Euna Solutions, we're looking for a Software Implementation Consultant/Business Analyst to join our team and help public sector organizations get the most from their Euna solutions. You'll be the bridge between current operations and future possibilities - analyzing client needs, identifying system gaps, configuring solutions to fit their workflows, and partnering with our Development team to resolve complex integration challenges. Your combination of technical skills (SQL, API integrations) and analytical mindset will help clients unlock the full potential of their systems.

What You'll Do:

Lead Enterprise Implementations

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-level implementations, managing scope, timeline, risk, and stakeholder communication from kickoff through go-live.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the implementation lifecycle, building trust and setting realistic expectations at every stage.

Facilitate Discovery and Design

  • Plan and facilitate working sessions with customer stakeholders to document current-state workflows, pain points, and business requirements.
  • Design future-state workflows that meet the customer's underlying objectives, balancing what the customer asks for with what will work well in the system.
  • Identify where workflow changes will be needed and proactively manage the change management conversation with customers so that adoption goes smoothly.

Own the Technical Configuration and Data Workstream

  • Lead data migration activities, including mapping, cleansing, validation, and load.
  • Build and troubleshoot SQL views and stored procedures to support reporting, integrations, and data validation.
  • Design and manage integrations and import/export (ETL) processes between the budgeting platform and customer source systems.
  • Configure the application to reflect the agreed future-state workflows.

Manage the Customer Relationship

  • Keep implementations on schedule and on scope, escalating and resolving risks early.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders about progress, decisions, and trade-offs.
  • Support testing, training, and go-live readiness activities.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience managing enterprise-level software implementations, ideally in a professional services, consulting, or customer-facing delivery role.
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL development, including views, stored procedures and ETL processes
  • Direct experience running JAD or similar structured workshops to gather and document current-state business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to design future-state workflows that satisfy customer objectives while accounting for realistic system and process constraints.
  • Strong change management instincts: the ability to guide customers through workflow changes without losing their confidence or trust.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to and advising customer executives and project teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with government or public sector budgeting software or processes.
  • Familiarity with public sector budgeting cycles, fund accounting, or related government finance concepts.

Location:
This position will be hybrid with 3 days/week in our Atlanta, GA office. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

We’re looking for people who are curious about emerging technologies, eager to experiment, and committed to using AI responsibly to augment—not replace—their expertise.

Life at Euna Solutions

We're a team of builders, problem-solvers, and public sector champions. We've built a workplace around a straightforward idea: people do their best work when they're trusted, supported, and not running on empty.

Here's what that actually looks like:

How we work
We're hybrid — three days a week in our Oakville or Atlanta offices, with standard hours on those days. What the remaining days look like depends on your role and your manager. We talk about it early in the process so there are no surprises on either side.

Eunafier Days
Twice a year, you get an extra day tacked onto a long weekend. Simple reason: people who take breaks do better work. Use it however you need.

Community is part of who we are
Our Engagement Committee finds meaningful ways to give back through time, donations, and shared expertise. We're invested in the places where our people actually live and work.

Philanthropy Time
We give every employee up to eight hours a year to spend on causes that matter to them. We want you to show up for your community — and we make time for it.

Real connection at scale
You won't know all 600+ people — and that's okay. What matters is building real relationships with the people you work with every day. Our culture team creates consistent opportunities for that, so work doesn't feel isolating.

Room to grow
Whether you're going deep on AI, building expertise in government tech, or stepping into a bigger role, we invest in your development — through budget, mentorship, and real opportunity to move when you're ready.
