Job description

Loss Prevention and Financial Controls Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Loss Prevention and Financial Controls Analyst to support our store operations by reviewing financial controls, inventory activity, insurance claims, and cash-handling procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and loss prevention across daily operations.

This is an operations-focused role—not a traditional accounting or CPA position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review daily store paperwork for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Monitor and review cash handling procedures, including shortages, overages, and variances
  • Analyze inventory and shrink reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential issues
  • Review video footage as part of internal controls, investigations, and loss prevention reviews
  • Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims related to incidents, damages, or losses
  • Communicate findings to management and recommend corrective actions when needed
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure records comply with company policies
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, accounting support, compliance, audit, retail finance, or loss prevention
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review large volumes of information accurately
  • Comfortable working with reports, documentation, and basic financial data
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic office software
  • Retail or multi-location business experience is a strong plus
