Position Summary

Designs and advances enterprise data protection strategies to safeguard sensitive information across organizational systems and platforms. Leads data loss prevention and cloud access security programs while driving enterprise-wide data security and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and implementation of enterprise data loss prevention and cloud access security strategies and technical roadmaps.
  • Oversees complex data protection investigations and coordinates cross-functional remediation efforts with legal and compliance partners.
  • Develops data discovery, classification, and protection programs across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Integrates data protection telemetry into enterprise detection platforms and conducts proactive threat hunting focused on data exfiltration risks.
  • Establishes data protection policies, standards, and performance metrics and reports program effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Evaluates encryption, data governance, and security monitoring technologies and leads vendor assessments and tool selection efforts.
  • Mentors data security analysts and facilitates training exercises to strengthen incident preparedness and response capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
  • 5+ years of data security engineering or related experience
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional security programs and delivering measurable risk reduction
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security controls, encryption methods, key management practices, and data governance frameworks
  • Proficiency in data loss prevention, cloud access security technologies, and enterprise data protection architectures
