Job description

Join the Geneva Golf & Country Club team, where teamwork, passion, and excellence come together to create exceptional member experiences. Since 1900, our Muscatine, Iowa club has offered a welcoming, supportive environment where your skills and creativity are truly valued. We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Special Events Coordinator and Membership Assistant to serve as a key front-facing representative of our club. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service to members and guests while supporting membership operations and coordinating high-quality club events.

The ideal candidate is welcoming, organized, and self-starting. They will enjoy thinking up creative and enjoyable member experiences for Geneva’s adult and family membership. The ideal candidate enjoys executing quality events & pays attention to detail. This is part-time opportunity, approximately 30 hours per week. Standard in-office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility as needed to accommodate events. Starting wage for this position is $18.00 an hour.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and execute special events for Geneva’s membership, such as movie nights, card games, family activities, continuous learning and more.
  • Create event promotional communications for channels including email, the member portal and social media. Prepare event materials such as signage & supplies.
  • Partner with internal departments (clubhouse and golf operations) to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist with managing event registrations.
  • Be present at events to oversee setup, execution, and breakdown while ensuring a high-quality member and guest experience.
  • Greet members and guests who walk into the club, answer phone calls, address questions, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Support membership growth and retention efforts by assisting with prospective member inquiries, membership applications, welcome materials, onboarding, and member communications.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
