BIC Data Operations Specialist

Position summary:Under the supervision of the Director, BIC Operations & Projects, the BIC DataOperations Specialist supports BIC's growing need for repeatable data execution, reporting operations, and automation support outside core workflow platforms.This role willworkalongside the BIC Operations & Business Process Analyst.They will operationalize analytics, reporting, and automation solutions designed by senior staff, allowing BIC to maintain speed, accuracy, andself sufficiencywhile freeing advanced technical resources to focus on architecture, tooling, and future state initiatives (e.g., AI enablement, cloud migration, integrations).Specificduties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to,the following:

Position responsibilities:

Reporting & Data Operations:

  • Run andmaintainestablished reports, dashboards, queries, and extracts

  • Execute recurring data pulls for leadership, audits, compliance, and firmwide initiatives

  • Validate output accuracy and reconcile data discrepancies

Automation & Tool Execution:

  • Operate andmaintainrepeatable scripts, jobs, and API based processes built by senior staff

  • Execute batch jobs (e.g., report runs, data refreshes, operational maintenance tasks)

  • Monitor performance, log results, and escalate issues,as needed

Data Support for Firmwide Initiatives:

  • Support data requests related to AI tools, governance initiatives, cloud readiness, and analytics

  • Assistwith documentation and reproducibility of data processes

  • Provide operational support during high volume or time sensitive initiatives

Process Discipline & Reliability:

  • Ensuredata handlingcomplies withconfidentiality, risk, and policy requirements

  • Maintain organized runbooks, trackers, and execution records

Growth & Skill Development:

  • Build familiarity with APIs, reporting platforms, data tools, and automation workflows

Skills and experience:

Required:

  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibitproficiencyintheMicrosoftOffice suite,iManageand otherfirm applications

  • 3+years ofdirectly applicable experience (e.g.,indataoperations, reporting, analytics, or business technology supportrole, or equivalent)

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with structured datasets

  • Strong knowledgeandproficiencyinPython, SQL

  • Familiarity withAPIs, scripting,orautomation tools, particularly asrelatesto dashboards and analytics

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $39.50 - $58.00 ($82,160.00 - $120,640.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
