Job description

Production Control Data Analyst

Production Control Department 

Workstyle: Onsite

Position Summary:

The Production Control Data Analyst is responsible for data collection and analysis used to develop production and resource strategies for the short, mid, and long term.  This role will improve the efficiency of data collection and develop tools to analyze and use data to support production scheduling.

Outline of Duties:

  • Analyze various scenarios for line speed, overtime, weekend production and capacity increases.
  • Develop systems, processes, and databases to capture and visualize constraints and production projections.  Report out using information as required.
  • Use data modeling tools to translate requirements into functioning, accurate data analysis solutions, including writing custom code in SQL and other languages as needed
  • Develop efficient, robust ETL processes to extract data from transactional systems and other sources; follow organizational change management procedures
  • Lead and/or support continuous improvement activities to improve analysis capability and performance; advise the business on possible and recommended metrics based on experience and industry best practice
  • Design and build reports and data visualizations, including dashboards
  • Deliver ad hoc reports and data extracts as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • Strong software skills in Excel, Access, SQL, and Visual Basic

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, related field, plus 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience in automated Manufacturing industry
