Position Information

Position Title Enterprise Applications Analyst, Finance & Payroll


Status Full Time


Job Summary

Tuskegee University seeks a collaborative and detail-oriented Enterprise Applications Analyst, Finance & Payroll to support the implementation, administration, enhancement, and continuous improvement of the University's enterprise applications.


Initially, this position will play a key role in the University’s Workday implementation while establishing long-term support for enterprise financial and payroll systems. Reporting to the Lead Program Manager, Enterprise Applications, the analyst serves as the primary technology liaison between Information Technology and the University’s Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Budget, and accounting departments.


The Enterprise Applications Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering functional requirements, supporting application configuration, coordinating testing and data conversion activities, developing reports, and providing ongoing production support. This position contributes to the University’s digital transformation by ensuring enterprise applications improve operational efficiency, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and customer service.


Serve as the primary technology liaison for Finance, Payroll, Budget, Procurement, and Accounting. Support the implementation, administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise applications supporting financial and payroll operations, including Workday and future enterprise technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes and recommend technology solutions that improve operational effectiveness.

  • Gather, document, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements.

  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders, implementation partners, and vendors throughout the system lifecycle.

  • Recommend business process improvements aligned with university priorities and industry best practices.

  • Support application configuration, workflows, security roles, approval routing, and business processes. Assist with system upgrades, releases, testing, and ongoing maintenance activities.

  • Maintain functional documentation, configuration records, and application standards.

  • Evaluate new application functionality and recommend enhancements that improve institutional operations.


Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, financial systems, payroll systems, or business applications. Experience supporting Finance, Payroll, Budget, Procurement, or Accounting business processes.


Experience gathering business requirements and supporting application implementations, upgrades, or system enhancements.


Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.


Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Physical Demands

Ability to operate standard office equipment for extended periods.


Ability to travel throughout campus to support users and attend meetings.


Ability to communicate effectively in individual and group settings.
