Schedule
- Shift: 12-hour days
- Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per contract
Assignment Details
- Assignment length: 13 weeks or longer
- Staffing ratio: 1:6
- Avg. daily census: 23
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Prior cardiac telemetry experience (tele/stepdown/IMC)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
- Skills: IV starts, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac patients, including telemetry and dysrhythmia management.
- Administer IV and central/peripheral line care and starts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Participate in rapid response/code teams as required.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care while adhering to assigned staffing ratios.
Compliance / Notes
- EKG testing required prior to start.
- Candidate must complete lab/testing within 48 hours of signing.
- Pre-start modules required (time non-billable).
- Vaccine requirements: Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- Licensure: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal.
- RTO (Request Time Off) rules: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); no RTO during first week; must work 2 of 3 major holidays; excessive RTO/call-offs may result in cancel/DNR.
