Paramedic Position at Merrimack Health

Merrimack Health is offering a sign-on bonus for Paramedic positions.

Full-time Paramedic $10,000

At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $25.46 (Min) — $38.59 hourly (Max), excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

As the Paramedic, you will provide all aspects of Advanced Life Support (ALS) treatment and transport of patients in the emergency pre-hospital setting. Evaluate the nature and extent of acute illness or injury and establish priorities for BLS and ALS treatment. Carry out procedures based upon Statewide Treatment Protocols, Standard Operating Guidelines and Medical Control direction when applicable. Manage the emergency patient's environment in a manner that assures optimal on-scene care as well as expedient transportation to the most appropriate medical facility. This includes efficient utilization of EMS resources such as local first responders, BLS and special resources/equipment. Performs all skills applicable to the Scope of Practice for Massachusetts-certified Paramedics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Massachusetts Certified Paramedic (current)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider Level
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (or equivalent)
  • Driver's License (in good standing)

Ideal candidates will have:
