JOB DUTIES

Interact with guests regularly, taking drink orders, suggesting beverages, and engaging in friendly conversation. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.

Handle cash transactions and be proficient in processing payments accurately, using cash registers, POS systems and handling change.

You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. This includes restocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and ensuring that the bar is well-stocked with ingredients and garnishes.

You must be knowledgeable about local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol. You will be responsible for checking IDs to verify customers' ages and refuse service to those who are underage or intoxicated.

Monitor customers for signs of intoxication and handle such situations appropriately, including cutting off service when necessary and reporting to management. Responsible alcohol service is crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests

You may be expected to upsell higher-priced drinks, specials, or promotional cocktails to increase revenue for the event

Must have a good understanding of different types of alcoholic beverages, beers, wines, and mixers and be able to pass this knowledge to customers and make recommendations.

Be able to work in fast-paced environments, to ensure all customers receive prompt and efficient service.

Must follow proper hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and to avoid potential accidents.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age

RBS Certification and Food Handlers permit preferred, but not required

No previous bartending experience required

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of times, lift heavy objects and maintain continuous movement behind the register as required.
